APCE Coloring Mural

As part of my work with Sanctified Art, I illustrated and printed a vinyl mural for participants of the 2020 APCE Annual Event to fill with color using oil pastels. I created a collage of imagery inspired by the conference theme, “Outside the Box, discipleship through retreat, mission, and justice ministries.” In keeping with the theme, “Outside the Box” the Sanctified Art team decided to print the mural the opposite of what one might expect with a coloring page. Instead of a white banner with black lines, we printed the banner with a black background and white lines. What resulted was an interactive experience where participants filled the mural while coloring outside of the lines so to speak.
