Ministry Branding

MINISTRY BRANDING

ministry branding

One of my passions is helping communities to more effectively tell their stories.  As a graphic designer with a Masters in Divinity, I am uniquely positioned to create theologically sound, thoughtful, and engaging designs to visually bolster and express the mission of worshiping communities, ministries and non-profits.

my process

  1. exploration

The branding process takes some work within your organization to gather information and paint together a picture of how you wish to be perceived, and how you want to express your unique story. To begin the process, I send along a questionnaire to be filled out within your community, ministry, or non-profit. The questionnaire helps frame a fruitful conversation about your defining qualities and characteristics, origin story, history, voice, mission, hopes, etc., and begins the process of creating an intentional, meaningful, and unified vision for your identity.

  2. research & ideation

Once I receive the completed questionnaire, a 50% initial payment, and a signed design agreement, I will begin the Research & Ideation phase of the process. During this phase, I gather the answers to your questionnaire and do some additional research of your organization, other similar churches, ministries, or non-profits, and your surrounding community. From there, I gather more points of visual inspiration and begin sketching out concepts and ideas for your new logo. This phase includes:

    • email, phone, and / or video communication

    • questionnaire review, conversations, and compilation

    • additional research of your organization, surrounding community, and other similar organizations in the area

    • concept ideation (collecting resources for inspiration)

    • rough sketches

  3. Illustration & Design

This phase includes the construction of logo options to choose from.

    • typographic design

    • vector illustration

    • color scheme selection

  4. revisions & editing

This phase includes corrections and minor revisions as we work together towards a final logo design.

    • email, phone, and / or video communication

    • corrections and / or minor revisions

  5. File Finalization

This phase includes the finalization of all file types needed for your organization’s future use, including full color files, one color files, and logo variations when applicable (horizontal, icon only, text only, etc.)

    • Files for print use (bulletins, letterhead, business cards, signage, promotional print items, t-shirts, etc.)

    • Files for web use (web graphics, social media, projection slides, etc.)

    • .jpg, .png, and .ai files

  6. Identity Guide

This phase includes the designing of an identity guide for implementing the new branding through guidelines for logo usage, logo variations, color scheme, & typography.
