Tambourine Man ©2015
When I lived in New Orleans, I absolutely fell in love with the Mardi Gras Indian culture. I would wake up early on Mardi Gras morning and try to find them dancing in the streets, and I would never miss a Super Sunday if I could help it. They hand make their outfits, sewing each bead and feather perfectly in its place. The details of their feathers and beading continue to inspire me as I try to capture the infectious, creative spirit of this tradition. (10"x10")
